Not a fan, enjoy yours Tilly x
I’m making them for my 17.5 year old grandson, no matter where he is , he always comes to grandmas for pancakes on Shrove Tuesday Tilly
Pancake day already? Doesn't seem that long ago we ad the last one.
Question Author
It was February last year, Goofy.
Question Author
Thanks Mamya. We will enjoy them.

Nothing better than Grandma's pancakes Bobbi.
As I said on another thread I am. Canadian/American style with bacon and Aunt Jemima syrup...Yes, I still have some Aunt Jemima named syrup.
I don't make my own any more but have Abracadebora pancakes - just warm them up in the microwave. I have them with orange juice and sugar and they are delicious.

Mine are Sainsbury's ready made. I hate it when the house smells of hot fat.
No frying pan required.
Yes, we’re having them. Ours too are ready made ones, from Costco.
I’d forgotten it was today, then remembered, so it’s home made veg soup today followed by pancakes with lemon and sugar. I do love a pancake.
Question Author
Sugar and lemon on ours.
Am I correct in thinking that British style pancakes are small and really thin like crepes?
Question Author
Yes Sanmac, they are. I don't like American and Canadian pancakes. They are too stodgy, i find.
Tilly, I add 3 eggs to the mixture to help avoid the stodgy texture, and also use lots of syrup. Have you ever had bacon along with your pancakes?
Bring on the stodge! I used to LOVE my mum's stodgy American pancakes. Made correctly, they are light and fluffy.
British pancakes seemed quite weird to me.
Question Author
No Sanmac. No bacon with pancakes and maple syrup. Not my sort of thing at all.
I used to like sausages with mine.
Not today, Tilly, but my Canadian daughter should be visiting soon and there's always the treat of pancakes, bacon and maple syrup when she visits. I can wait.... :-)
I guess it's sanmac and I united together with our own pancakes ;))
I like all kinds of pancakes and in the past have enjoyed the smaller, thicker ones with maple syrup and bacon, in a stack.
The English ones are just a smaller diameter version of crepes, which I also like. Used to like buying crepes freshly made from a crepe stand with the round, hot, flat surface and the wooden thing they spread the batter with.
Question Author
I love Crêpes Suzette but I've never made them myself.
