Do you HONESTLY think AB is better now than it was a year ago? Before the "new broom swept clean"????

Be honest.

I think it ebs and flows ... the main site appears the same as usual but CB is definately less fun.
it would be better if I was made Ed ;o)
YES
During the day it's ok but, being an insomniac, I find it very boring in the early hours of the morning. Always used to be someone to talk to but not any more.
Yes
Question Author
Sara... I wholeheartedly agree ;-)

Ladybird.. I understand what you are saying, and the abuse of yesteryear will never be missed, but I do miss some of the spats. They were entertaining if nothing else. I really miss Leg, Man-On-The-Top-Of-The-Clapham-Omnibus and Noknow.
No! Some were unfairly dismissed and this has now led to a dead zone after 10:00 pm where before the fun and frolics went on into the night every night.

I remember! I was looking after my ill friend at the time, and being a pair of perennial insomniacs, we'd stay up quite late Chatterbonking or watching TV. I used to love the late night threads and it was always so busy.
In the first few months I was on here, I only went to Q&P, so I can't really comment about what it was like much more than a year ago. I find some of the stupidity on some weekends very tedious. Ed should jump on banned people if they have been/are abusive, it spoils it for everyone. Otherwise - I like it!
AB, as a whole, hasn't really changed. I assume that your question really refers to CB.

In the (not-so-) 'good old days' CB was full of vitriol and petty squabbles. Some people might have found it entertaining but anyone who was posting within the 'serious' parts of AB, and who took a look at CB just to find out what it was all about, was very unlikely to post here.

Now that things have changed, more and more of the 'serious' posters (such as Barmaid, ChuckFickens, Dzug2, VHG, et al) are to be occasionally found in CB, proving that it has become a place where everyone can participate, without fear of being abused or (as frequently happened to me) having their benign posts totally ignored amongst all of the vitriol.

Good point, Chris... tho I see less and less of Barmaid these days....
LAST YEAR I HAD LOADS OF LAUGHS ON HERE(sorry for shouting) but it is a lot quieter now and a lot of great people have gone
Slinkykate just like life many come and many go. Yes there's nothing wrong with being sad for our dear departed but we have to move on and be happy as as it's what "They" would've wanted.
I miss Legend.I know he annoyed a lot of you but he always generated some lively threads.Abit like Molly does now.
I think the days of Leg and Man-On-The-Top-Of-The-Clapham-Omnibus had their moments and could be fun but they could be overbearingly domineering of cb to the point it invited "challengers" to their crown who would take no prisoners which would drive a lot of good people away.

I also really miss Noknow ... not everyone's cup of tea but genuinely funny and entertaining. I think he did spend a little too much time on here in the end (by his own admission) and became too obsessed with a few things which led to the ed stepping in. Real shame that the ed cannot see to looking at his exclusion again ... jeez ... he didn't kill anyone For Funks Sake.
I think Barmaid's absence has probably got far more to do with the new fella' in her life than it has to do with any disillusionment over the way CB's going, NoMercy ;-)
Question Author
I agree totally, Chris. I think she's genuinely happy :-))

As for NoKnow... no, he never hurt anyone. He was the sarkiest bugger on here, but so so funny at the same time.
Yes
I do miss Noknow but never, ever post on Molly's threads. It's only the other people on them that make them entertaining. The squabbling amongst themselves is quite funny.

What do people find so infuriating about Molly? Personally I find her interesting and boring in equal measures.
