Hairy hand!

I've just come back from physiotherapy on my wrist to be told that what I thought was a quirk from wearing a plaster-cast for 8 weeks was in fact my hormones going doolally.

My wrist and hand have developed hairs, and I don't mean soft blonde downy hairs, I mean really noticeable dark ones! He warned me that unless I use my wrist more it will get worse- Mr Boo said it'd be cool, like wearing a mitten permanently (!)

Anyhoos..........

I didn't ask my physio bloke at the risk of him looking at me like I was simple (ok, more simple then) but does anyone think it would be ok to use some sort of hair removal cream on it?

Yeah you're probably right velvet lady (see you've decided to stick around - heh) It probably is me being over sensitive, but I can't help but keep grimacing at my hairy hand, suppose I could plait 'em? And Saks? Isn't that in the States? Think flying over for that is a bit excessive....lol

Yeah sleepy- the waxing idea is appealing to me :-)
they dont grow back stubbly its not like leg air. ok maybe waxing would be better

if its like this dont bother with the shaving, maybe some clippers??
Hi, BOO, how are you? A suggestion: break the other wrist, and in a few weeks time you'll have a nice pair of soft, wooly-type, cozy, matching mittens.
Hi boo.
Think how warm you'll be in winter! If you do decide to shave you could alway save the trimmings and knit baby boo a cardigan or a scarf.
Have you thought about bleaching the hairs? It will make them softer and less noticeable. xx

Glad you've decided to stay Velvet :-)

Steweyyyyyyyyyyy, how are you my little poppet? And behave before I stroke ya face with me wooly mitt!

Ooooo didn't think of bleaching Mrs O- Domestos or Asda's own?
Congratulations Booster Girl for having the most amusing two word question EVER in the history of AB.

Are you sure your merkin hasn't stuck to your hand?

(for those who do not know what a merkin is, may I suggest a google image search)
You can try domestos. A girl I was at school with used it on her fringe and it dissolved all the hair and burnt the skin.
Jolene cream bleach is available in all chemists, or you could do what one of my sisters does with her moustache and buy a cheap blonde hair dye.
(I hope to gawd she isn't reading this or I'm for the mincer)

Dunno trigger- I haven't asked him, you reckon he might like pretending it's with two different folk like? Hmmm, interesting!

And ta Wardy, I do try my best ;-)

Not sure I like the idea of burning skin Mrs O- maybe Demostos aint wise then- heh!
'Ello B00 :D

Hey hiya Beryl (don't you just love your own posts? You can say hello to folks without feeling guilty!)- hope you're well girl?

Why? Do you do waxing professionally?
Lol, no don't do waxing for a profession hehe.... but do own a waxing pot.... I like to do his chest ;) it's the pleasure pain in me......

atm I've got a rotten cold, so me and the animals are snuggled on the sofa :D (not the pig!!!) xxx
Question Author
Awww @ the cold, hope you're better soon. And i'd forgotten all about your pig....is it called Willow? That name rings a bell somehow. Remember the piccy of it, she (?) was very cute.
Yes, she's called Willow. She lives at my brothers. She came with the house lol
Still.... better than the normal things that come with a house innit :) xxx
will be handy coming into winter, the weather man did say tomorrow could be cold...but on the OTHER HAND it might be warm lol
Im sure a depilatory of some sort will do just fine. Even waxing. May I ask please, have you been taking any steroidal applications, either topical or internal during the time of wearing the plaster? If so, and youve now stopped, you may find you no longer have this phenomena.

I wish you well
