I have long hair, and it gets all over my cream carpets! My hoover does not pick it up whatsoever so I have to do it by hand which is hopeless! Does anyone know of a vacuum cleaner that will pick up long hair? My machine also does not touch bobbles of material /bits off socks etc. I have to pick them up. Is my hoover useless or do no machines do this?!

Shave your head maybe.....

Seriously, one thing I have found very good at picking up hair and fluff is one of those rubber brushes/brooms.

I have a Dyson, which is really good, but a going over after with a rubber broom gets more out.

Hi Scarlett - We've tried several makes of vac cleaners over the years, but have found the SEBO Turbo to be second to none. It will pick up absolutely anything, including hair & we wouldn't be without it!

They are quite expensive, but well worth it in the long run. Good luck.

sounds a bit daft I know but my mam gathers the hair up by using the bottom of her slipper so its in a pile ready to pick up... this is dog hair tho
scarlett, both my daughters and myself have long, thick hair and we have a big black dog and I have a dyson! its all you need but, if you bung on a pair of rubber gloves (marigolds) and breathe on them and then just wipe the carpet, you will be amazed. It what I do to the furniture if i am in a hurry :)
i have the exact same problem....i use a karacher hoover, it picks up everything...its fab
i have seen on tv some where to use a scouring pad as it catches the hair .
