It has been snowing for the last 90 or so minutes here on the outskirts of Oldham but it is not sticking (yet) and it doesn't feel overly cold.
There is a severe weather warning for 'ice' today and tomorrow.

I put the heating off last week, it's back on again.
We've got sleet, turning to snow, forecast for later on but it's not started yet.

What part of the country are you in, Steg?
Wolfie: You might have some ice around tomorrow but at least your forecast up there is for light winds. Our forecast down here in Suffolk is for 45 mph winds from the North! Brrr!

Hi Buenchico, I’m in Perth
Well you can nip down the road to hug Susan (Wolf63, who's also in Perth) then, so that you can both keep warm together ;-)
Gawd - a risk of it down here even in deepest Cornouaille.....not yet - it's breezy, gusting 30 mph. I doubt the snow but we are looking at -2 degrees early tomorrow morning and into Friday. On with the heating, I guess, and before the Tigger price bounce...it's about 6 degrees C at the moment.
The thermometer outside my log-cabin indicates -12 and it's snowing heavily. I guess I'll have to don my snow-shoes and venture out to get some logs for the fire. Seeing as how visibility is limited and I live in a log-cabin, I'll have to be very careful as to which logs I choose to burn.
1st principle of Mountain Death Crew when confronted with someone suffering from hypothermia - strip them off and put them in a sleeping bag and then you have to strip off and climb in alongside to transfer body heat gradually, steg....... could be interesting.
I was up in Scotland a couple of weeks ago. I would have quite liked it if it snowed - haven't seen snow for ages.
You are lucky, hun.Up here in the north-east of Scotland it has been snowing on and off since 10pm tuesday night. One minute heavy snow, the next minute blue skies and sunshine.
I've just found a picture of Sanmac's log cabin:

Buenchico, around 5pm I'll be hitching-up the dogs and mushing my way down the trail to that place.
It’s been snowing on and off since about 4pm here in West Yorkshire but hasn’t settled yet but keeps trying, I’m expecting a blanket tomorrow when I get up.
It is a beautiful evening here in the Glens of Antrim.
no doubt we too shall have snow but in the meantime
I am enjoying the good weather.
Been snowing off and on since about 4.00 here. E. Yorks., not that far from the coast. Hasn't settled for more than 5 mins. as yet, but it's dropping even colder, so I'm expecting snow settling by morning. Odd, because the forecast said snow would be on higher ground, such as the N. Yorks moors, and further inland.
Very strange day in Dundee - sunshine and snow at the same time. Lawn has a light covering which I hope will disappear quickly.
ah - - the tay the tay - the silvery tay
it flows though Dundee every day !
Started snowing quite heavily about 6 o'clock this morning and is sticking.
no snow down here - though it is a tad chilly.
