One of my big downfalls is I skip breakfast. I do try very hard to force down some toast or some cereal or some yoghurt but the truth is, I dont really like this stuff.

I do quite enjoy a continental type breakfast though with cheese and sliced meat.

Would the weight loss benefits of eating a continental style brekkie be better than none at all? I've got about 5 months to shift a stone and a half.

Nice idea Anne but I cant even bear the smell of bananas. I swear it is because my Nanna force fed us them cos she had none in the war!!! "Oh yes we have no bananas, we have no bananas today".
I think that, barring MacDonalds!, any breakfast is better than no breakfast. But my tip for losing a stone in a few weeks is to cut out bread. Try not to replace it, just find other meal ideas but when youre stuck have cormpn crackers or rice cakes instead. For a continental breakfast try lean ham with a boiled egg, or ham on rice cakes, and replace cheddar cheese with half fat leederammer for example.
You can use any fruit really
I love scrambled eggs but never make them. The reason? It takes ages to scour the pan afterwards.
Fat fingers tonight excuse the pun! I was trying to type corn crackers
Add fresh fruit to a yogurt, makes it more palatable .

I think that's a good tip Maydup. I dont eat much bread anyway mainly cos it makes me feel bloated.

I'm going to call in at the supermarket on my way home tomorrow. So ALL of your ideas are welcome.
I never have any breakfast until 10 am on a week day, start work at seven.
Why do you have to eat breakfast...especially if you are not hungry.
When I wanted to lose a stone and a haĺf about 7 years ago...I ditched carbs-bread,pasta,wheat products, sugar. But I did eat leafy greens, berries, and full fat dairy plus meat, fish, eggs. I lost the weight in about 10 weeks.
I can give you a link to the program I followed ...and still do.
Maybe worth buying a smoothie maker?

Nailit, dont be silly. Ive had some really good ideas on here. Just because I dont like the taste of some of the offerings it does not mean the offerings are less valid. Others may read this thread and get some good ideas. Its horses for courses.

And just because I dont fancy some of the things suggested it does not make the answers any less valid.
I eat first about 10 or 11. I need to do a few things before I need food.

I agree Tony. I cant do breakfast first thing. BUT I often have no breakfast, no lunch, drink gallons of coffee and then just have an evening meal. I do know that is bad........

Pasta, your link would be much appreciated, please.
“Why do you have to eat breakfast...especially if you are not hungry.“

Many different ways pasta but your brain needs glucose first thing after having fasted, this turns you into a focused fat burning machine.

Oh I did realise they had been Mazie.

Anne, I had one. I used it for about 3 weeks and then it got shoved to the back of a cupboard. I suspect it is still there........
Ps...there reallyisnt much difference in bread vs rice cakes. They are still starchy carbs. You just might be less bloated with the rice cakes. It depends on your body.

Sorry, Pixie, not Mazie. Sorry.
