my daughter had operation yesterday to remove polyps before they turned cancerous the other 80% of her bowel was biopsied which we have to wait for results she's in a lot of pain and very upset we are all trying to gee her up but she is really down, poor love she has't been feeling well for ages. we're praying it will come back with good results .

I'm praying with you mally (big hug from me) Please let us know how she gets on..She's bound to be down she's been through so much, I'm sure she'll feel much better when the results come through xxx

thankyou both xx yes she has pain killers but can't take really strong ones as they could cause constipation ,and the fact she found out i got a recall from my mamogram (family member let it slip )freaked her out i went today and everythings fine xx

That is good- yes, that's what i was wondering about the painkillers. Some, like ibuprofen, can be a bit painful on the stomach for some people. Would a hot water bottle be worth a try?

thankyou all xx we are trying to be positive for her .
If she's in pain, then get in touch with the doc. She should have been prescribed suitable pain relief.

woofgang we have been back to the hospital this afternoon after she rang and told them about pain and bleeding and they said if its still bad after 48 hours to go back.she is also waiting for a call from the surgeon when he finishes surgery x
what pain relief was she given to bring home?

woofgang only paracetamol and one other that i cant remember (my brains a bit scrambled lately x
