I was told 3 weeks ago that the pain in my wrist was tendonitis. (I thought I'd sprained it, so bandaged it up!). The doctor put a splint on my wrist, told me to take ibuprofen when neccessary and it should be better in a couple of weeks. I've done all that I was told to do but it's still painful when I take the splint off. Anyone else had this? Any suggestions as to what I should do next? TIA

Have you had it x-rayed?
Why put this in CB?
Patsy makes a good point re. X-Ray to support a diagnosis of tendonitis of the wrist.
However, assuming the diagnosis is correct, then 3 weeks is a short to to expect recovery........in my opinion 3 months would be more appropriate.

Be patient.

Thanks Squad. The reason I put this in CB is I knew I would get a sensible answer. Apologies to all if I shouldn't put this question here.

No x-ray even though I waited for 3 hours in my local hospitals walk in clinic. No appointments available at my GP's for 3 weeks :(

The other reason I posted in CB Squad, I've read some of the medical advice you have given to other Abers.
Ring your GP for an appointment, again. and tell them it is important. They will or should ask 'Is it an emergency?' It is to you.
