So......do you make pancakes regularly or just occasionally and if so what's your choice of filling?

I know it gets asked on AB every year but hey, does it matter? You may have discovered a new filling ;o)

I'm very boring and just have lemon and sugar.
Not a lover of pancakes. But used to make them for my boys which they loved smothered in chocolate & banana.
haven't ever made one to be honest. my friend does them at any time of the year, they are nice...
I love pancakes but, unless you count helping my mum when I was a kid, I've never made them :(

I've been tempted to go out and buy some ready-made ones today but I'll probably leave it until my once-a-week shopping trip on Saturday evening. It seems daft to increase my risk of contracting Covid, just to have some pancakes on Shrove Tuesday; I'm sure that I'll enjoy them just as much at the weekend!

When I was a kid, pancakes were always served with lemon juice and sugar in our house (which I still like). However I normally opt for maple syrup, possibly with ice cream, these days.

I usually make than about once a month, I do American style as opposed to crepes and have maple syrup or I cook down blueberries for a nice sauce. Today though, I’m cheating with ready made crepes and I’m going to make an orange sauce and serve with extra thick cream. Very much looking forward to them.
No, I never make them, but Dad always used to. Just a plain pancake with a squirt of lemon juice and I loved them. Wish he was still here to make them for us all.

Thank you for reminding me. Bought some ready-made ones last week but had forgotten today was pancake day. Meals now sorted.
Chocolate pancakes, with black cherries, cream and some alcohol or other, sort of a deconstructed black forest, oooh they are so lush.
Only make them once a year as they take so long (because I have to make so many) - I have lemon, sugar and golden syrup on mine.
I do like them, but won't be making any today.

For main, seafood pancakes and for pud filled with ice cream and chocolate sauce poured over. Not making them today though. I found the ready made one horrible.
I do them quite a bit as a speedy dessert. I like crepes suzette with vanilla ice-cream. Mr BM prefers just lemon and sugar.

I forgot it was pancake day today. But we are having crispy duck so the pancakes with that count!

Aren't the point of pancakes that you can put inside whatever you damnwell like (even liver)?
I love pancakes but no filling comes even close to beating lemon and sugar for me.
Just got home to the smell of freshly baked bread.. When I asked where the pancakes were. I was told to shut up as it was Ciabatta Tuesday !
As compensation for the lack of pancakes, I have got six loaves, shortbread and cookies.. I'm stuffed !
I love them with orange juice and sugar. Don't make them myself now - I tried the Abracadebora ones and they are really lovely. They do sweet and plain.
