My freind left to go on holiday 4 days ago and left me the key to his house to feed his rabbit but the idiot has left me the wrong key so I need to know how long a dutch rabbit can survive without food and water if I do't get a good answer, I'll ask the police if I can break into to his house to make sure the rabbit doesn't starve. I just hope I'm not to late.

Just the tiniest thread of comfort slanec, hopefully your friend has left a full water bottle and full bowl of food in the hutch. Desperately trying to remember our bun's eating habits it should be ok, as being enclosed in a hutch they tend to me more or less immobile and just nibble bits and pieces rather than cleaning the plate all at once. They also eat their bedding straw/hay - so don't panic too much....but the only thing I would be concerned about is water. Like most creatures water is a necessity, especially if the cage attracts the sun.
What I didn't make clear was that it should be ok for the 4 days - after that I honestly don't know - but I'm sure someone will come to your rescue - I certainly hope so!
