Thank you all for your help. I have'nt been online for 2 days. Our Duchess was put to sleep as all of her major organs had given up.She was comatose and knew nothing but we're heartbroken all the same. We console ourselves with the thought that she had a good, long life and at least was'nt in pain. I cant thank you all enough. Bless you. x x x x x

Sorry to here about Duchess, i've a feeling she had 15 happy years with you! I know how you feel, its happened to me too. I only waited a week before i weht out and took on another rescue dog and i was sure glad i did. The RSPCA have lots of lovely Dogs that deserve a good home..
Bless you too. It is so nice to hear of people who love their dogs and do their very best for them.My thoughts are with you.It is not easy to say goodbye to an old friend but at the end of the day it is the kindest thing we can do.Chin up. xx
Thanks for letting us know fina, god bless xx

so sorry to hear that Fina...it's not easy.

We did exactly what Logman said too - waited a week and moved on...Best thing we've ever done..

nothing I can add except for sympathy to you and your family.
So sorry to hear that she has gone but 15 is very good and I'm sure that she lived them to the fullest and gave you lots of lovely memories. XXXXX
So so sorry. You gave her happy life and that's all we can do for our pets. That doesn't make it any easier for you. Try to think of the good times you gave her and she gave you. Thinking of you.
Fina, my thoughts and tears are with you. xx
So sorry, Fina. It hurts so much to lose a pet. You did the right thing, but that is still not easy.

Do understand how you must be feelng and am thinking of you so much, you really did do the kindest thing for her bless her, they are such heart stealers aren't they. Our dog was put to sleep just after last christmas so I can identify with your loss.

Please enjoy your Christmas in spite of what has happened,Duchess wouldn't have wanted it any other way and I'm quite sure she will be with you in spirit.

So sorry you lost your Duchess, I know how dreadful it feels. When the hurt eases, as it will, you will have the happy memories left. xxx

Once again. Thank you all for your support, kindness and understanding. My hubby and myself are both overwhelmed at your responses. We have another dog,he's 2 years younger than Duchess,a cross between a whippet and Jack Russell. He's been eating from Duchess's food bowl today,he always preffered her bowl. We're making an extra fuss of him as Im sure he must be thinking "Where's my big sister gone". I wish I could stop crying,I know she lived to a good age but we miss her already. Thanks my friends. xxxxxxx

I wish you hadn't posted that woofgang....too sad...

<tries to smile but can't>

I can't finish it
fina so sorry but you did your best and did not let her suffer, know how heartbroken you must be, each time i lose one i say no more, i cant go through this again but i always end up with somthing else dont worry about crying i had to have my horse put to sleep 4 years ago and i still cry about him xxx
So sorry Fina...have been looking out for you..my thoughts are with you and your family.Big hug xx I hope I get the same support if anything happens to Jade
