Himself had a chance conversation with someone today who has just come back from a holiday at the place we are going to and they said it was excellent! Bit of a relief as there are a few, less than brilliant reviews of it.
To Ibiza, to a (hopefully) massively child-friendly place. Two weeks, all inclusive so the food has to be ok (as a minimum). Apparently, the fish swim around your feet (won't catch me sticking my feet in the sea) and there are slushies as well as all day ice cream on tap, what's not to like if you are a little person? (Best bit is that it is a term-time holiday, something we always said we would do when we were both teaching.)
In my view, some people just like a moan - especially if it a review site. How often do you feel motivated to write a review if you had a nice time? a lot less than if you had a terrible time so the results are always unrepresentative. Also sometimes the negatives are about something that actually doesn't bother you. i.e. they complain that there are kids and you are taking yours or they complain that the wine wasn't great but you don't drink it etc.
Cheers all - ironing actually ALL done, got my Kindle (not got the hang of it yet and can't switch it off), just need to do some shopping for bits (plasters, calpol, etc) and the job's a good 'un! Never had so much notice that we are going away, so mega organised.
Hi Gness, it's the only way to get everything done and stay sane (much easier now that the things are a bit older). Hate being late or having to do stuff in a rush. I'm a bit like a swan, all serene on the outside, and my little feet are going like the clappers, x
Hi owd, no probs. The place we went to last year had some dodgy reviews and the food was a bit rubbish. This time it's for two weeks so a bit longer to endure if it's really terrible. The person himself spoke to said the worst thing was the flight - got delayed by the passengers who were going to Ibiza to party and were plastered (half of whom were a lot older than you would expect).
Are you remembering that it will be full of Scottish and Irish people as we break up on Friday? :o). Some areas nor until Wednesday next week. But mine have 8 weeks 2 and a half days starting Friday lunchtime.
It'll all be fine, not a very long flight and the drunks will keep the kids amused (just hope we don't get a choice of having some Brussels sprout salad like we did last year).
