Cat problem

My son has left a female cat with us whilst he and family are on holiday, after 48 hours cat hasn't eaten a thing at what stage should I get worried?

As long as she has access to fresh water I wouldn't worry at all for quite a while yet.  Let her settle and then try and tempt her. 
I would agree kev, she'll either be sulking or catching her own food. Cats won't starve. Keep going round there, in case she's feeling lazy and wants her convenience food, but if she doesn't eat it, she won't starve. She's missing her family, that's all.

I agree with the others.

My mother's cat didnt eat at all while she was in Hospital, but didnt lost weight because the sly little mutt was mugging fishy and god knows what from the rest of the street who were all feeding her.
