I lost one of my gorgeous girls earlier, one of two sisters I rescued.

She was such a lovely cat, had come such a long way since I rescued her.

I had a knock on the door this morning by a lady to say she had been found by the road. I'm heartbroken, they are my family up here.

Not really a question but just trying to distract myself a bit, keep almost waiting her for her to come bouncing through the window.

I'm very sorry to hear of your loss.
Shame, it's heart breaking. I lost one of my moggies to an RTA, and was unfortunately also the one who found the body. I was crying like a loon outside the road entrance of guildford university while loads of students stared on... and I didn't care. I hate crying in public. Just time and all that unfortunately in terms of healing and feeling less sad, same with any kind of berevement. It's such a shame.
sorry to hear that jenna, when I was younger we lost our family cat in exactly the same way as yours, it was heartbreaking so I know how you feel. hugs xxxx
Ah Jenna - so sorry to hear this news, you have our sincere sympathies, and big hugs to the other cat, she'll need comforting too without her pal.

This happened to us a few years back - our cat was run over while we were away. So good of the lady to let you know - I am forever grateful to the lady who found our cat (several streets away) and took her to the vet for identification.

Do you have pet crematorium facilities where you live?
Awww poor little thing, so sorry Jenna.
Mum and Dad have been feeding a young cat for some weeks now, they couldn't get near it, but it always came for food and slowly it was getting used to them, and then suddenly Dad found it dead in his driveway on Sunday. To say they were devastated is putting it mildly. xx
oh, poor you jenna. it's a shock, especially when you find out like that - and i cried like a baby when i lost mine several years ago for weeks. my cats are my surrogate babies and i invest a lot emotionally in my pets - as most decent people do. it's lovely that you rescued her and i'm sure she knew what she meant to you. lots of hugs, lisa x
Oh no, very sorry to hear that Jenna. Cat's and roads just don't get along together. x
I am so sorry to hear your sad news. You become so attached to your pets, it's heartbreaking. I am dreading the day when anything happens to my cat.
Awww Jenna so sorry, you must be heartbroken. x
Sorry to hear of your loss, Jenna. I would be devastated.
Take comfort knowing that she had a good life with a loving owner.
I am very sorry to hear of your loss.

"In the Candle's Glow"

Warm light coming from far below,
Twinkling, sparkling is the candle's glow.
All is well up on the ridge,
The place we know as Rainbow Bridge.

Furbabies sleeping in heaven's light,
Tended by candles in the night.
Peaceful dreams be theirs to keep,
As they slumber in this night so deep.

Hearts on earth that miss them so,
Take comfort in the candle's glow.
Watching for them in skies above,
Bound eternally by a cord of love.

Bless you chick.. I remember when we had to have to pooch put to sleep.. but she'd been poorly for a while.. so Nush must have been a shocker as she was only a tot.. thinking of you.. I'll light the mum/sarah/(and now Nush) candle tonight.. xx
How sad :(
So sorry Jenna, it's heartbreaking I know. Very very sad for you.
I'm so,so sorry this has happened...I too know what it is like. When the ex and I came to the UK-we could only bring one of our cats(cost of quarantine was prohibitive)-Our 1-stone black moggie. He was never very road-savvy-having been an apartment cat...but he loved hunting out in the fields. He was very difficult to get in when the fields were full of mice.....Until the morning a neighbour appeared with him in a box. I have never wept so much over an animal-and 20 years on,I still miss him.
At least you know what happened to yours-it would be so much if she had just vanished. Run free, puss x
*so much worse*
That's awful. I feel for you, I know I will be heartbroken when I lose my little one
So sorry to hear that Jenna. :(
Very sorry to hear Jenna. So sad.xx
Oh Jenna lovely, I'm so sorry, horrible thing to have happened, but you gave her a lot of love and a very good life, and that counts for a hell of a lot. Big cyber hug. X
