Rest assured, Ed/Spare Ed whatever you decide will be wrong ;)

JimF, why would we have zero interest in that?

If you have suggestions, we're happy to hear them - that's the whole point of this thread.
If the edit facility were time limited, would there be a need to see the original?

If the original were edited because of offence for example, would you want folk to be able to be offended still by reading it?
That second bit relates to the EDs having made the edit.
An editing feature would be fine if the original remained. That would satisfy those who want to edit their posts but at the same time prevent it being abused.
Emoji’ a no from me, I don’t mind the BA function, as for editing Not so keen on some typos are fluffing funny even though you know what they mean. I do like the idea of highlighting a newbie though so we can be gentle and warm toward them.

TCL - No, I'm thinking the "see original" bit would only be if the member themselves edited the post. Regarding the first question, also probably not, but I'm just thinking off the top of my head really.
What about having the modification authority to move one's post to the correct topic? We often see that someone has posted in the last topic they viewed, some are good enough to ask for it to be moved and some posts are moved by Ed/Spare Ed. I thought of this because you have removed your sticky from ChatterBank...I do read your posts!
None of the above, thank you.

I agree, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

If it *is* broke, fix that: can't use an apostrophe in a Report; when a spammer is removed from the end of a thread, they stay in Latest Posts; probably more I can't think of right now.

Not sure why the CB sticky has gone - a lot of people are simply too lazy to post in the right Category & think they'll get more replies in CB, when they don't realise that (I'm pretty sure) most use Latest Posts to see what's current, so if the thread is of interest, it'll gain traction that way. Later on of course, the front page is how to see what one's missed.
I'd leave well alone because as it stands - it works out - best answer to the person with best answer.
The only thing I’d like to see changed is the terrible logo… instead of girlie flowers could we maybe have like a topless girl dancing?
Oh, and can we finally say goodbye to the subsections?
I'd like to go straight to my last post on any given thread instead of starting each visit on page 1 & having to trawl around looking for it.

I don't know if that would be technically feasible though.

Also, the use of italics is a bit hit & miss.
Good point Khandro - let's get the existing features fixed first (if it doesn't work, fix it). The italics feature seems to break down if the text includes punctuation, and also you can't use it more than once per post.
Thumbs up or thumbs down emoji would satisfy me.
Why waste words?
I would like to see moderators not have the power to suspend users, or remove answers, simply because they disagree with the answer. In fact, remove moderators. Censorship is arrogance in the extreme. You know the old saying: Who censors the censor?
10CS //: Who censors the censor?//
The Eds do.
Who censors the Eds? Where does it end? It's arrogance that you obviously want to be a part of.
Maybe the Editor owns the site 10etc.
Who do you think should have the last word?
"I would like to see moderators not have the power to suspend users, or remove answers, simply because they disagree with the answer."

If that were true and posts hadn't broken the rules, would they not be reinstated by the EDs?
