does anyone know of a quick way to clean brass? I know silver can be cleaned by placing tin foil in a plastic dish and adding soda crystals but havn't tried it on brass in case it riuns it, love brass...

Getting rid of ivy roots

Is there anyway of getting rid of the roots that ivy leaves behind where it has been clinging to the wall? We've tried wire brushes but they have no effect, would be interested to hear any suggestions...
