Why does the moon sometimes look really big in the sky ? I guess this one comes under nature...

agree with TW; illusion caused by relation to trees etc. :-)
Could it be you was wearing you reading glasses that night
Also, the moon does not follow a perfectly circular orbit around the Earth as sometimes it is aligned with the Sun and other planets. This causes it be closer on some days than on others, thought I doubt this tiny effect would be noticeable without a telescope or something.
