I recognise Ursa Major and Ursa Minor, Orion, Cassiopeia, Jupiter, Mars and Venus.

What else is out there? I don't know any more constellations and planets.

Don't say......the Moon!

..and here..but the sky is wonderful. Just been out again, looking for the Seven Sisters and saw a hedgehog! Fortunately, Tilly was not with me.
Quite clear here, I only know what the plough looks like though.

Clear night here too, and I forgot to look out for the Space Station.

The bright one, low in the west is Venus.

Jupiter is SSW at the moment, quite high up. If you recognise Taurus and Gemini, it's midway between them.

As the saying goes "stars twinkle; planets shine".

Thanks hypo. I was wondering why I couldn't see any moons.
@melv16

You didn't say whether you're using binocs or a scope but, if your scope is good enough to pick out Jupiter's moons, it would be worth another look at Venus to see if you can make out its phase (waxing, waning etc.).
