Surely not. The "fruitcakes, loonies and closet racists"?
Why should previous supporters of the Tory party "come home" (?!?) i.e. abando the party that more closely believes what they want; and not previous supporters of other parties do the same ? Or is Cameron simply hoping to return to a possible majority government of whatever flavour rather than make a Tory gain ?

Oh do beware, that link starts playing a video out loud automatically, presumably for a laugh.

How far back would he like folk to return to ? Maybe who they voted for decades ago ? If he wants voters to consider his party the best option he needs to offer what the previous supporters want otherwise they'll vote for one that does.

Sounds to me as if he is rattled. I think he probably doesn't need to be. When no party seems even adequate, the public tends to stick with the status quo.
ABANDON
AS TYPED !
Protest votes in a by-election is one thing, but I think people are more inclined to vote for the mainstream parties in a General Election.
There are only 3 possible outcomes to this election:

1) Labout outright win

2) Coalition

3) Tory outright win.

In cases 1 and 2 we will stay in the EU.

In case 3 there will be a referendum (I'm guillible, I believe politians' promises).

Anyone voting UKIP in the hope of getting out of the EU is daft; their ONLY hope of getting out is to have a Tory government and hope the referendum goes their way. Voting UKIP, or anything else, will guarantee we stay in the EU.

What's the point in duplicating another current tread title?

Just what I was going to say. It's confusing for those who want to follow one thread or the other.
It was called copy-catting when I went to school.

There was no reason this thread why this thread could not have been positioned in the previous thread.

Perhaps a mod could move it?
It's not about the same thing though AOG (at least I don't think it is but I have made that mistake already once this morning).

Don't see any similarity myself!
For those who missed the point, Baldric is referring to Gromit's thread *title*. Not that I see it makes a lot of odds.
is that Cameron out of his kitchen ?
he's coming your way today, anne.......
if he is coming 'up here' it will be a very short visit ( as usual) in a safe house !!!!!!
Nope, the Tories have to reap what they sowed. Arrogance over the EU will cost them dearly.

????????????????????????????????????????????????????

For the hard of understanding'
The content of this thread bears no likeness with the content of the other thread with the same title, therefore
///There was no reason this thread why this thread could not have been positioned in the previous thread.///
makes no sense whatsoever!
