Would you be quite happy to let your children or grandchildren being taught by a teacher wearing the niqab?

I was quoting Johnny Rotten Naomi.
Yes, to endorse your opinion.
The phrase ' daft as a brush' springs to mind.
I am referring to Rowan Williams
Have you never made personal attacks on here then mickey ??
In my opinion a man who harbours idiotic notions is an idiot. That's not a personal attack - it's a valid observation.
Well said naomi.
What I find irksome about this thread, is that it follows the all too familiar pattern of going to a scurrilous article in an appalling rag quoting it in order to disseminate lies and distortions, and in this case about an honourable man, under the inaccurately attributed lying headline that Williams said "Let primary school teachers wear the veil in the classroom" allowing for even further distortions and insults about his character. What he actually said was; "... I suppose that’s what panics people about, let’s say, a primary school teacher wearing the face veil. As a matter of fact I think that’s largely a misplaced anxiety, but I can see where it comes from."

A hypothetical conjecture and not advocating its use at all, the subject was 'people and panic' not the veil per se.
Khandro...agreement from me !
