...when will they stop.

As much as I don't mind cleaning up dog mess and listening to them barking all night, it needs to stop.

When the shops stop selling them to the public that's when they'll stop.
It should only be professional licensed organised displays that are allowed to use fireworks. They are dangerous in the wrong hands.
So expect them to be going off until New Years Eve / Hogmanay and then that's it over until next Bon Fire Night. Not nice for wee dogs that hate loud bangs.
Fireworks are so boring - once you've seen one display you've seen them all.

I used to go to the Hogmanay with my wife. I get too emotional now to even go anywhere near Scotland. It's a shame as I'm part Scottish. The fireworks are just down right irritating :/
I don't know how people can afford them, there's a shop in one of the local towns that sells them all year round. I noticed one in the window the last time I went by,a 100 shot repeater, for ONLY £99.99p and the shop is always busy.
I have pets and I love fireworks. We seem to get by.
Its interesting. My seven year old dogs hate fireworks and I have been posting my irritation on here for many years. At first I seemed to be just about a lone voice crying in the wilderness and people used to post that i shouldn't be wanting to spoil other people's fun and so on. Each year I have seen more and more people express their own dislike and frustration about the continuing noise and smell.
If anyone is interested, heres a petition for more control of fireworks

and local communities are doing things too.

Meh.... I am more worried about my sleep than about my pet (cat) who gets a bit skittish. I would rather they were kept to officially arranged ecents.
When I rule the world one of the first laws I will pass will be the banning of sale of fireworks to the genral public. I'm with Fanriffic on this one.

I've got some other laws planned too.

The second law to be passed will allow the use of shotguns on cars with front fog lights on unless in a pea souper.
I'd vote for you
The Scottish SPCA are also running a campaign :-

I wouldn't vote for you. Your violent streak troubles me.
I'm all talk
I've watched hundreds of pounds worth of fancy fireworks light up and vanish in the space of half an hour, where do people find the money to burn?
no idea ayg, they say there is no money about.....
We still had fireworks around here last night. Enough!!
I would strongly object to government interfering with the right of folk to commemorate Guy's attempt at political reform. Exactly the sort of thing government should keep their darned nose out of. However display fireworks ought not be available to the public for domestic shows. And individual members of the public should act responsibly and ideally keep the show for the 5th Nov (as should public display organisers for that matter) as is traditional.
still going off here too !
yes OG but they dont!
