Are you buying decent bulbs or those Poundland sell. If the latter then that's probably the reason.

Are you sure that you a buying oven bulbs that have a high temperature rating – and not those for use in fridges?

Yes says oven on pack
A lot of duff bulbs around these days, Col. All kinds, not just yours. All you can do is try another batch.
Light bulbs these days are a real racket, none last any time at all, especially "long life" ones.
B and Q sell a good deal of rubbish - their light bulbs are among it.
Did you know that despite all the hype you can still get 100w incandescent light bulbs? 39p per shot at my local cheap shop and they do the bizz. Even if they blow after a fortnight I shall have had my money's worth. As it is, the one I installed last November is still going strong.
