thankyou scorpio xx
My Mum had something very similar and they gave her a codeine based painkiller which is know to case constipation but also told her to take large doses of Fybogel to counteract this. She was in a lot of pain too but at least this gave her some relief in terms of feeling she could take codeine based things and not jeopardise what they had done with her surgery.
My wife has a similar problem. Painkillers can aggravate the pain. She finds a generous 10ml of Gaviscon Double Action mixed with an equal amount of warm water helps. Hope this helps your daughter.
Just spotted this post... best wishes to her xx
