Some people use windowlene, smeared on thick and left to dry.

can see you are not a radio 2 listener Ken Bruce was having a high old time with this subject earlier in the week , the windowlene method was the best and he suggested you leave a small circle un windowleled so you could watch the nosey neighbours but they couldn't see you lol. Good luck
