We havent had any rain here (yet!) but my son works in Colchester and the wind speed is 42 mph there.

No problems whatsoever here in Swansea. The Great Storm appears to be for the London-oriented news media only...what a surprise !

No noticeable damage yet except that half of my rosemary bush has been ripped from the ground, mind you, it's the bane of Mr R's life so maybe he got up in the middle of the night and hacked at it. :)

Just said on the news that we're still at risk until around 10.30am, but so far so good (don't want to tempt providence!) - my neighbour's back fence is down, and another neighbour's shed roofing felt is off, but I can't see anything else from indoors.
Traffic chaos though, trees down on the M2, Dartford and Sheppey Crossings are closed as is Dover Harbour, all the ferries have been sent out of port to ride out the storm off Deal. Means Operation Stack will be in place soon on the M20.. :-(

the garden that backs onto ours has a really tall thin eucalyptus tree, part of the trunk has split vertically and a twenty foot piece of branch and trunk is now lying over next doors shed! Missed our garden by about 2 feet. (east london)

Fence got blown down, fortunately not my side and it fell into their garden. Other than a pond full of leaves, no other damage. Essex flatlands.
