It must be a good year now since we lost owdie...I miss him here and think of him often....if anyone is still in contact with Mrs owd can you let her know he's not forgotten ! Also aryom.....we lost her some time before owd.....hope they are both now in a better place !
I took his bowl to the Mcmafia get together in September.
It has pride of place in my living room.
It arrived in the post on the same day he passed, so a very poignant moment for me.
I miss him and his humour too, Minty...such a lovely man....with great taste in music even if he did pull my leg without mercy.
DTC told me to hang on to the bowls Owd made for us until we met. We met today and guess which clown went without the bowls.
Another excuse for a get together lunch though..... x
It's not quite the year, minty, but he wasn't in great shape.....though mentally always cheery and upbeat - and realistic about what he was facing.
By chance, I have heard from Mrs Owd today and she has just been off on a cruise around the Med....... And, yes, it was great to meet our infamous gness - and lovely she is too - and her daughter too - definitely Mum and Daughter by the way and to see their relationship, a lot of fun and love apparent.
Isn't it strange, all I know of him is from on here - the few conversations exchanged, and sometimes his name comes to mind. Hope he's resting peacefully. What a very nice person he was. God bless you, Owdhammer x
Morning - it's pitch black out there, the only noise being the rattling of bones as the skeletons make their way back to their boxes in the churchyard, not even a dactyl stirring yet, or the bats.....Whether it's dry or not, well I haven't stick my head out of the door yet - I think that we have some dryness......
