Time For Tea

what's yours this wet afternoon, i have chocolate cake and lemon cake slices, and coffee on the go, so time for a break...

there is a local fete on but it's still raining and i am not getting wet again, at least not today.. so feet up...

Just a glass of water for me. I've had my quota of coffee for today.

Got dinner cooking at the mo and waiting on him coming home from work. I hate being on my own at the weekends...

I'm not one for afternoon tea on the whole, unless I have visitors.....or someone has a cheese scone on the go!

For supper/dinner I have a shoulder of pork slowly cooking for pulled pork this evening. I need to get in the kitchen to sort the sauce, salads and veg accompaniment.

I also have a stock pot bubbling for some beef stock to accompany tomorrows roast sirloin.

I haven't eaten yet today and am ravenous, I just don't want to snack and spoil my appetite!

nice soup for lunch, and now time for some cake, i never was a big cake eater but these are very nice, dark chocolate and the other is like a lemon drizzle slice, yummy.

i dont deserve a tea or coffee break yet as i havent done much all day, so settled for a very small sherry and a pint of very diluted orange juice.Hic hic.

I am really quite peckish but there is nothing to nibble on :-(

Instead I am persistently checking if the pork is done. At this rate there will be none left come supper time!

A toasted tea cake, malt loaf or a slice of ginger cake would be appreciated if you could sling a piece in this direction......

toasted tea cake would be nice, the chocolate slice and lemon slice were small but delicious.
