I received a email yesterday from "SO CALLED PAYPAL" telling me that the sum of £110 needs authorisation to be paid to Thomas Buttery, another way to try and scam you, I contact paypal ASA, I thought it's my duty to try and warn you all, just in case.
Hey TWR. If you hover over the email subject, then it tells you the address of the sender, before you even have to open it. It's usually some made-up crap, so just tick it as 'junk', and delete.
It's quite sad really, because there are people who'll fall for that kind of scam.
My parents received a similar one, but by post, saying they owed Paypal money. My doofus Dad nearly paid it too!!
OH had something very similar a few months ago and contacted PayPal. They said that if it says Dear customer (or something similar) rather than your actual name, then it isn't from them
