My appointment was at 2.50. Now if you have to wait to be seen by the nurse and haven't been taken within half an hour you have to say. But I was taken at 3.20 and I asked the nurse would the dr be long as I had to leave by 4 as my dad was taking me home en route to do a job, she said yes there is a wait as there is only one dr on call and there is at least 25 people ahead of you and i quote ' we can't call in any other doctors'. I said well I'm sorry but I can't stay and I will be in next week for my check up after my laser treatment, can i have this check done then and she filed it on my notes and i left.
Its ridiculous only one doctor - and the waiting room was packed. One elderly lady had to be told that another ambulance would comé for her because they were so far behind that her current one couldn't wait any longer.
Oh, that's a bit crap, isn't it? I don't mind waiting ten minutes longer at the GP if it's because she's spending more than her allocated minutes with someone who needs her attention, but because they're short-staffed - no excuse. I hope things get better for you.
Owdhamer, glad to know you've been getting the care you deserve. Wishing you well for chemo. x
After being referred by a specialist for an op and waiting for over 30 mins, I went to where they were gathered to ask should I send OH home to come back later, they said oh you're not really serious and we're very busy so you can go.
True QoM, so I just bury my head in the sand, but you've got your whole life ahead of you so demand the best xxx love to your mum, missed MOFC, overwhelmed by 4 dogs + daughter and bf
