I don't think anyone will answer if I post in Books.
Do you know of or own a good horoscope book?
The kind that describes your character and who you are compatible with etc.
I have one called White Magic for Lovers and I payed .35p for it back in about 1973.
Unfortunately it's in quite a sorry state.
To buy again as a used book from Amazon is £4 upwards.
As someone who never buys books these days, I'm not sure if this seems a lot especially if it's in a bad as condition as mine.

As that is nearly 40 years ago I would have thought that you had it all off by heart now, so why buy a new copy?
my answer went off into the ether !!

Try charity shops or auction houses.
inflation since 1973 is around 10x, so you'd be paying much the same as when you first bought it. And an Amazon one probably won't be in a sorry state (though check the reported condition of used books).

So no, a fair price.

Mike, I still refer to it sometimes and alba, that's a good idea.
I would also like to hear if there are other books out there in a similar vein.

Not sure if this is the same one missprim but it's only £1:99

Yes that's it missnemesis but I was taking into account the P&P or shipping.
Why not just mount a crystal ball on the dashboard of your car. Not only could you get an instant update on your future but also know what white van men and taxi drivers are going to do next.
Unfortunately missprim if it's out of print 2nd hand is going to be your only option and most sellers charge postage.

Good luck with the search though.
remember p&p is just the equivalent of paying bus fare to go and look round charity shops.
Question Author
Not for me jno as I'm a pensioner and have a free bus pass :-)
I'm not looking for a book that predicts the future but one that describes different star signs.
Whenever I meet someone new, I get to know their star sign then look them up in my book to see if they are typical of their sign.
I then like to know if I'm likely to get on well with that person.
It seems to have worked in the past but really I'm looking for a more updated type of book.
I would say 4 quid is cheap for any book that you know you are going to use for many years. And assuming you're not in a hurry to get it then chose the free p&p from amazon. I don't see where'd you'd get it cheaper other than a charity shop and the odds of finding it in one are fairly slim I'd say.
Capricorn me, missprim !
