Scottish Border control ?

There is discussion that if Scotland votes for independence they may have to start border controls . What are your views ? Seems daft to me, you can travel all over the EU without checks why should Scotland be diffrent?

Reminds me of when I was a lad and we went to Scotland on a coach.
The driver anounced ''We are near the Scottish border, all passengers get your passports ready !'' A few people didn't realise he was joking and started to get worried, I heard one woman say ''Oh hell, I didn't know we needed one''

Scotland might join the Schengen free-movement zone, which would mean continental types from Schengen countries could enter freely but the English would have to be checked.
