So it is International Women's Day.

Excuse me but is their an International Men's Day?

And if there was chaps, what issues should we be fighting for?

Well for starters we could demand more washing instruction labels such as this, it would make life so much easier.

I don't ask her to mow the lawn, put up shelves, or change the oil in the car and she doesn't ask me to cook, clean, wash or iron

It's called roles
What if she's sick Joe?
If I'm sick, Mr Alba is stuffed liked a pepper.

I can change the oil in the car, put up shelves, (sp?) cook, clean, but ask Mr A to put the washing machine on............
To be serious, I'd say that every day is international men's day because as men we are better paid, better educated and do not have to put in '110% to prove that we're as good as other men'

To be UNserious, the label in the link is funny, because it ironic (if a man really DID give all his washing to his wife/girlfriend, it's fairly certain he'll spend the rest of the week wearing dirty clothes).

What should men be fighting for? One thing that springs to mind is an equalisation of divorce laws. If a man who is worth £10m marries a woman who divorces him after a year, why should she be entitled to half is wealth? And why should he pay alimony until she marries again?

I know that this is the case where poor men marry rich women (I'm looking at YOU Madonna), but in reality, that's quite rare.
They are not entitled to half now. Look at Paul McCartney...
Yeah but to be fair she really didn't have a leg to stand on.
Lol....
I loved looking after my husband and he in his turn took care of me. I didn't do 'his' jobs and he didn't do 'mine'. It worked fine and I wish he was still here to share. Incidentally, I thought the label was very funny. Pity they don't do more like that, give us all a laugh. Well done, aog.
All in favour of International Women. Particularly like Italian anf French ones.

Thank you for all your humorous replies.

Zeuhl, Obviously I had no idea that there was in fact a 'Men's Day', but you must admit they keep that quiet, I wonder why?

Regarding your alternative 'Men's Day' Boo

I think the Mrs of 'Tav' (whoever he is) doesn't agree with you.

And what's all this? How times have changed, we only had to fear the 'Rolling Pin'.

Well we expect to see you there this year.

I can pre-order the placards - what would you like printed on yours? :-)
aog, TAV is a high-speed train. I imagine most Italian males would like to drive one.
