I don't do the ironing, it's a man's job!!
Mr Walshe
“It is correct to say that the banner could have done with an iron. But my statement was gender neutral – it was aimed at men just as much as women.

“Honest.”

you have to laugh...
My iron would connect with his head......
I don't do ironing, gives me a headache, but the banner does need ironed . !!
It could be that he was offering to iron it when he said.....It should have been ironed first.....and we are misjudging the poor man..... it can be so difficult to understand men at times..... ;-)
I think you must be trying to understand the wrong men. I find they are easily managed with simple commands like, sit, eat your dinner and come we are going to the pub. It's a waste of time trying to understand them just find one that works for you then train them up a bit.
There are wrong men, Rowan?!!!!! Not at my age...... :-(
i think he was making a joke and it worked for me ...
A few previous owners did the training for me (Merchant Navy, Army and Launderette-owning step-father) so Mr. J2 does all the ironing in this house. I do step in when frills and complicated pleats are involved. :)

Many years ago we had a boss who was 'odd'. He would never have survived the cut-throat civil service of today.

Anyhow - he ironed his underwear, he actually stood in our section of the office and told us that. I can't remember the context of the statement but he, to me, seemed much odder from that day on.

I love ironing....but not as much as my mother-in-law did, Wolf....when I went to live with her I was the only person who went to work with creases in her tights....she ironed tights and stocking under a large white cloth......?
Ahem
