At last! Tom Petty And The heartbreakers are playing a London show in June, and I am down to interview him and Milke Campbell.

I can't wait - I bought his first album the week it was out, and saw him as the support act on Nils Lofgren's tour, and never got to see the band since.

I am so excited - anyone else a fan?

Hello andy, I also saw him on the Nils Lofgren tour, they both appeared on the Whistle Test as well. (I'm sure you knew that)
I remember going to the cinema to see The silence of the lambs. I nearly wet myself when American girl was played. Thats always been my favourite!
I think that 1st album, along with The Pretenders debut, are among the "best 1st albums" ever.

There was a great documentary on Tom's career about 2 years ago, it was shown on BBC3 or BBC4, about 3 hours long.

We travelled to the Country this morning,and enjoyed a hearty/warming lunch - Pheasant in the most delicious Red wine sauce - we slowly drove through the Sun-dappled village of Slimbridge,as we went on Jack FM(Bristol)played this Tom Petty song...Bliss....beautiful sunshine.good ale and food...and Tom,givin"you a welcome!
