Thats fine coming from you Boo.....and your self portrait avatar :-)
Lol Boo, I was thinking the same. :)

It's not quite the same but my sister took her husbands surname when they married and she shares her first and middle name with his mum so now his mum and wife have exactly the same names.
God, I even bored myself telling that.

If only I was as interesting as I am 'funny'. :)
How rude Janzman! That's not me, That's Barry!

He's far better looking than me ;-)
hey Boo,
could you ask barry to show us his face next time please.
Nope. My family, well my Dad's side at least, have too many names associated with them. We don't actually know where they all came from. We think Grandad just liked a change now and again lol!! ;-)
I used to know a lady with an unusual surname.

She married a man with the same surname, but with a U in it (which didn't change the way it sounded).

I know she divorced him, but I don't know if she discarded the U.
i havent changed mine, after marriage i kept my old surname

rozia....back then you had no choice but to change your name today you have that choice
My dad's brother married a woman with the same surname as him, and my mum's sister married someone with the same surname as my dad (and therefore her sister's husband). It can get quite confusing as both men look quite similar and everyone thinks they are brothers.
My friends MIL was called Brown before she married a Green, her daughter married someone called White.
Very funny thread - I have no story to tell but have enjoyed reading them especially Karen,s which is a proper tongue twister.
When my nephew got married he took his wife's name. Apparently the name is dying out and they wanted to keep it going. Not sure what will happen now as they only have daughters and no sons.
My Kids grandmothers have the same names as my grandmothers, Jean and Mary....not from Norfolk.. ;-)
