I wonder if this Year will be another bumper Year similar to last Year ?
There have been many sightings already from the Shetlands down the East coast of England.
This week Waxwings have been reported in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire so they are moving further West.
Keeping my fingers crossed that Rowanwitch can spot some this Year and also everyone else who have never seen them as they are beautiful Birds !

Never seen one myself, do they come as far south as Somerset?

They may well come down as far as Somerset D97x7 especially if there are plenty of Berries for them to eat. Hopefully you will get to see some !
They did last year try birdnet for the latest sightings
Thank you, I'll have to keep my eye out then.
Have lots of birds in my garden on the west coast of Scotland but have never seen a waxwing.

you need to check out any local Rowan Bushes they love them
Rowan berries still on trees and bushes? Your're lucky Rowan, in my last garden the birds had my rowan tree stripped by October! Once toyed with the idea of picking some of the berries and freezing them to put out with the bird food later in the winter but never quite managed it - berries were gone by the time I'd got myself organised
They like apples too and may take cotoneaster berries
