It appears that if you have two cars, your no-claims bonus only applies to insuring one of those cars. Insuring your second car without a no claims bonus is absurdly expensive. Anyone suggest a way round this to make insuring the second car cheap(er)? ,

Directline amongst other insurers will allow any NCD to be applied to more than one vehicle.
Have a chat with your local Swinton brokers.
I have two cars insured with MoreThan and both have maximum no-claims bonus applied at renewal - it's always been like this, with them. (And my premiums were slightly LOWER this year compared with last!)
You could try Admiral - who are advertising at the moment multi car insurance
