I was not quite sure what section this should asked in so it's here, could anybody tell me if there are still special rates of postage for "Printed matter" the reason I ask this is because I have just received a brochure from a firm that delivers frozen ready meals to anywhere in the UK and I thought they would suit my mother who lives in London, the brochure fits into an A4 envelope but is rather heavy, I don't know how much it cost to send to me because it had a postage paid licence sticker on it. As I do not live near a post office (I just buy stamps from a corner shop) I have no idea of how many stamps to put on it, but I know some years ago if you put on "Printed Matter" in large letters the postage was cheaper.

I think if it weighs more than 100g it needs more than just a regular first class stamp but check with the Royal Mail website to be certain.
or ... just get in touch with the company and ask them to send your mum one!
With the Royal Snail, you mum may get them just before the mould emerges.
