Semi Skimmed - because it's what's in the fridge.
I wouldnt give them any milk to take unless they asked for it - in which case give them the one you know they will drink otherwise it will end up thrown out no matter how good it is for them!
I use to get my son the small 1/4 pint bottles for his lunch. Because it's good for him...simple as that.
Probably the skimmed...it has the most calcium-necessary for bone health...and the least fat. It has the same protein as the higher fat versions.
Oh...he dies like milk btw...

@pastafreak I will take your answer! I think it is most appropriate and your answer was very detailed and showing evidence! :) Thanks

Cow milk is a great food for calves, they thrive on it. Why give it to to human children though? Why choose this particular animal to drink its mamalian fluid? What would you think if you were offered, say, pig milk, or dog milk? Like countless millions you have been led to believe that this is somehow healthy nourishment for your child. I suggest you give him/her fruit juice.

I wouldn't send my children to school with milk - it's yuck if it is not really cold.
Khandro...fruit juice is very high in sugar,so contributes to tooth decay-unless the teeth are brushed immediately after consumption.

I think collette only wanted to know which was the healthiest option of the 3-not whether WE would send our kids off with milk.
I hope this wasn't a homework question!

Children up to about 2yrs should have full fat milk, after this they can move onto semi-skimmed.

Children require fat in their diet for growth and energy.
Apologies, I mis read the OP as 2 yr old not 12 yr old.
mmm... warm milk...lovely
