Is it possible to get a spare key cut if you do not have the "red" key? TIA.

The chipped one!
You can CUT it, yes.
But one with a chip is a different story.
i asume you are talking early Ford,if so yes you can and if its a genuine red key you can programme the new key from it...
oops, didnt read the post properly, with no red key it becomes a programming excercise. Have you any keys, the later Fords were not supplied with a red key just 2 black ones which allowed the programming of extra keys.

It's a L reg Mondeo, only got one key (not red)
