What do the producers and executive producers of a film TV programme etc. do? What do the other crew members do (e.g best boy, key grip, gaffer etc.)?

producers are the bosses of a certain programme or film. They oversee the entire project. The director is in charge of the shooting of the film/programme. the gaffer is usually the chief electrician on set, the grips are crew members who set up rigs and assemble scenery

Executive Producers are generally the people that funded the project. They are given an honorary credit for stumping up all that cash.
