Fish Paste

My husband is convinced that in the sixties there was another company that made fish paste as well as shipphams. Does anyone remember?

Princes used to make fish paste and I can remember at least one other brand on the market whose name I'm afraid I can' t recall

I think John West also used to make it.

I think the company you may be after was Sutherlands Spreads, which was owned by Quaker Oats, who sold it to Shiphams. Shame because Sutherlands were far superior.

I think androcles is right , as soon as I saw the name it came back to me, they used to do meat pastes as well as fish and i seem to remember that unlike Princes or Shiphams who only sold it in jars you could buy it by weight
