Just had a shower, Molton Brown Gel, hair washed and conditioned, teeth sparkling and mrs sqad, at tis very moment choosing my shirt and putting my belt into my new chenos. Lunch is Thai Curry and fruit salad with a Ribero Crianza for wine.

So, I hear you cry, what is the downside?

Well in 20 mins I am going to hear how they went back to the UK to sort out why their 38ry old son is being divorced by his wife. He of course is a high flyer...everybody knows he's No1 in the company......she is not good enough for him and never has been...etc etc.
The grandchildren are all ABOVE average at school and she has already ssen a lawyer...di.da.di.da.

Why can't some parents let go of their children and let each generation look after itself?

Think of me...........please.

Lol. Just keep smiling and nodding sqad. At least you're getting a nice lunch and some wine.
ahhh...the benefits of a lazy Sunday on one's own......
I hear ya, squd.

But some of the blame must lie at the feet of the children for not standing up to clingy, pushy parents & telling them to stop it.

It can be done nicely but firmly.

The food will be nice at least. :)

Haha sorry, but I'm trying to picture you saying both "Why can't some parents let go of their children and let each generation look after itself?" and "mrs sqad, at tis very moment choosing my shirt and putting my belt into my new chenos",

Are you seriously puzzled over why kids cant look after themselves when their peers can't even dress themselves? ;-)

BOO...wrong....I have learnt over the years that women are alwayd right. Fought against this ending up in many a row BUT since retirement, she is always right and I do not do anyting without permission, do not think for myself and do not use my initiative in any possible way. It works........even if I do let her choose my shirts and dress me.

She thinks she has won.........LOL LOL LOL
