I am getting fed up with buying jars of "hot" horseradish sauce only to find they are not in the least bit hot and just stink of vinegar.

I used to buy Colman's Horseradish Relish but that disappeared years ago.

Does anyone know of a really hot horseradish sauce please?

Here's a high quality one:

Quite expensive, and a bit dry, but it's the real thing. Personally I prefer the creamy liquid ones.
This is the one I stock where we work...Delia rates it so I guess it must be ok.Hate the stuff myself but we sell masses

Waitrose's Creamed Horseradish Sauce is lovely!
theonlyone is right about the Polish horseradish and beetroot relish - called cwikla (pronounced chfeekwa) - deli shops and increasingly in supermarkets. For horseradish on its own, look for jars of "chrzan" (Polish word for horseradish). It looks quite dry as it's not mixed with anything but it has a hefty kick. Worth looking for.
