Recently we were in Manchester and we were outside the Bridgewater Hall, opposite the central railway station.
We were rather taken by a large red building which looked like a converted something or other. Or maybe it is brand new?
This building is to the left of the Bridgewater as you stand in front of the entrance, behind the lake or pool and looked as though it might be apartments or flats?
Any ideas please?

I think you're referring to Chepstow House. It is a converted warehouse, and yep it's now apartments.
