I have just returned from a delightful afternoon of retail therapy in Bedford Interchange. I went alone, kids happily playing here with dad. What puzzles me is why (oh why??) do women insist its a great idea to bring the whole family out to the sales? I have never seen so many bored men on the verge of losing it before, as for the screaming kids in their prams they had no business being dragged out. I don't know where the men got their patience today in Next but I felt for them, holding the pram whilst the mom had a good rummage through the clothes. Maybe they are on a promise - I can't see any other reason ; )

Awww i feel for them too, I'm not a big girlie shopper but if i go I'll go alone or with girlfriends.

When with the ex fiancee he'd happily go off and do man stuff or meet his mates in the pub while i did some shopping or if he didn't fancy going off i'd make it brief.

Oops!

remember being dragged round many a car showroom though!
you must be more thoughtful than other ladies, sunflower, it could be as simple as their wives cannot drive, but ....

why is it men can spend hours holding bags for women in ladies clothes and shoe shops, but when i want a quick fix and need to go to a DIY shop, for a feel of the latest power tools all hell goes loose....

ps, sorry for answering with a question
I'd rather be dragged around B&Q than fight my way through the Next sale!x
I hate shopping...I do allmine at ASDA....cloths, shoes ...everything
Thats a bean counters attitude zorro

Ive just shredded loads of bank statements cupple of days ago....so only have 2 years worth.
Hmmm, i totally agree with you sunflower. I dont know why women take the men shopping with them. They should just take their kids and let their men go to the bookies or pub. Its not like a guy would take a girl to those places is it...
I thought you take them so they can pay?!!?
i wouldnt take my hubby with me!!!! He just picks out silly things and keeps saying "what about this" ? and its hideous. No idea of my taste in clothes, just wants a quick end to it i think, hence why i go alone!!!!
mmmmmmm

I certainly don't know many men who love shopping like a lot of women do. They do enjoy buying but the whole love of looking around and touching things before the purchase is not in their build up naturally. I agree, we wouldn't want to join them in the bookies or pub with their mates. The pub on a Friday night is Mr Sunflower's therapy not mine.
