Breathe and rub with a lens cloth and once a week or so wash with a bit of washing up liquid

I use lens wipes, which are paper tissues in a small sealed packet, I don't know what they are called in the UK. here they are called, 'BLINK' Brillenputztucher  - literally, spectacle cleaning tissues

One tip: to economise I wipe the specs & put them in a small screw-top jar to stop them drying out, that way each wipe can be used 2 or 3 times.

Soap and warm water.

I have a couple of boxes of Lidls W5 wipes . Each containing 52 sachets of wet wipes.I have sachets in the pockets of my outdoor clothing and glasses case. Always have them in my gun slip to clean the optics on my rifles.I use a soft flanellete material called 4x2 to buff off any residue smears

A drop of washing up liquid and hot water, not forgetting the frames.

Soap and warm water

I buy lens cleaner from poundland. They sound like the ones khandro uses. They come in pre packed sachets.

I use a Calosport spray which was given to me by Optician.

Also use it to clean phone and tablet screen.

After I wash up, I put my glasses in hot water with easing up liquid in it.

I then dry with a hand towel.

I rub mine on my fleece.

I use Wilko Optical Wipes, plastic free, non-smear and individually wrapped. £1.25 for a pack of 26 sachets.  Gosh yours are expensive Retro.

So it would appear Ladybirder.

Being a male I know where items are what I want. I shop in Lidl as a matter of course for other shopping and can't really bother looking for them elsewhere. If a shop next door  ( Poundland) was available and cheaper I would buy there but mobility issues as far as walking prevent me from faffing around in a quest.

I always used to use a lens cleaning spray and soft cloth, everytime I go to Moorfields they wash them with soap and water, so now I do the same.

I have some of the packaged wipes for emergencies and to carry with me (current lot are from Morrison's I think) but I also find washing-up liquid and warm water works best.

I except OH's specs.  He should never have bought them,  they are lovely 'aviator-style' but one of his lenses is too thick and if you press on it too much - it pops out of the frame!

His are definitely only to be soaked gently in warm, soapy water and drained on tissues before dab-drying.  A real pain. Next lot of frames will be 'Harry Palmer' if I have anything to do with it.

52 individually sealed lens wipes for £1 from Savers.
