A posh London restaurant is selling 3D-printed vegan steaks for £29.

I would pay considerably more for a good steak at a good restaurant, but regardless of price I wouldn't eat this stuff.  Would you?

\\Cells are taken from a chicken then turned to a paste which is printed into sheets with a special machine.//

Not really vegan then

i ight give it a go, but i can't quite think what circumstances that'd be under!

thats the KFC one, nothing to do with vegan

I don't think so. I still haven't gotten my head around 3-D printed objects...let alone food.

I'd also question why vegans would eat it.

If someone else was paying, I'd try it.

I wouldn't mind giving it a try.

Mrs JtH and I have been eating more 'meat-free' meat recently and things have certainly improved in taste and quality since the old 'bean-burger' days.

It's just macine made food, so I don't see any idifference to other processed food,  if it's somehting hyou want to eat. I don't particularly want to eat vegan steak, so not for me.

Have tried vegan food - not for me.  Tasteless.

Not for me.  I prefer the real thing.

I have no wish to offend vegans/vegetarians, but I would never willingly remove real meat from my plate. Cooked properly with wonderful veg and accompaniaments my meals are a delight to behold, eat and savour. Think I have almost lost the will to eat out these days following various disappointments. Besides which it is cheaper to DIY.

naomi, in answer to your Q, no I wouldn't.

But I might take L-iK out for a proper meal ;)

Are we not told to avoid processed food ?

Here am I avoiding carbs and someone is offering a potato steak. Er, no, why not have the real thing ?
