it might be making you feel tired because you are working twice as hard with half the equipment
The reaction to a fall, especially in the elderly is associated with a degree of shock and certainly loss of confidence, the symptoms of which are those that your describe.

It’s been a bad fall genie to break an elbow. You know the phrase * it’s a shock to the system *. Sometimes sleep is great medicine. . Careful to treat any pain. Take things easy .
Shoulder to fingers plaster sounds quite a burden to manage - hope you heal up soon and are able to discard it. Whatever you do, take care :-)
Though not scientific, I also think some of your energy is being used in healing your injury, as well as adapting to doing everything one handed.
Wishing you a speedy recovery
Ooooft, that sounds painful. Thought I was bad breaking my wrist. Just do what your body is telling you - if you're tired, have 40 winks. Adjusting to doing everything one handed takes it out of you. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

thank you all for your responses and best wishes. I hadn't thought about the fact that my body is working harder to compensate. I'll just listen to my body. Thanks again.
