I am having problems with my printer. The text does not print properly. I have tried cleaning and the test print is OK, I've done Clean, Deep clean & nozzle check and the test-prints are good, but when I try to print text it has faint lines and some missing.
I wonder if the fault is in the cartridge ?? I have another one but don't know how to change when the one installed is not empty.
It's only about 6 months old, a Canon MB2750 Any suggestions please?
My techie guy isn't answering, I think he may be away on holiday. :0(
From the manual (where the 'step 4' referred to is the deep cleaning process):
"If printing problems remain even after step 4, turn the machine off, wait at least 24 hours and perform deep print head cleaning again. Leave the machine plugged in after you turn it off.
If the problem is still not resolved, the print head may be damaged. Contact the service center".
Thanks Chris, I didn't know about the wait, I'll try that.
It's strange that the test prints are OK and colour printing too, which makes me suspect there is a problem with the black (so-called 'compatible') cartridge itself.
There are videos on youtube how to change an unspent cartridge but it means fiddling about inside the machine, which I don't fancy.
